Kennels/Boarding Hospitals
Limited to only day time hours creates not only restricted times for drop-off but adds stress on you and your pet. Most people work during the only time you can drop off your pet. If your return trip is at 6pm, you'll likely miss the pick up and pay for an extra night.

Supervision
Since all DBar Dogs Team Members live and work on location, there is excellent coverage to make sure all pets are well cared for. Water/food/yard are attended to every few hours including that pesky midnight potty break outside.
Communication
All over-night stays include text photos and/or videos sent to your phone. Even if you're miles away, you'll know that Fido is doing great and you will be informed of his/her activities. A smile goes a long way and we'll provide that assurance. Of course you have the option of enjoying your trip and catching up upon your return.

Lack of Supervision
When the kennel closes, your pet will be alone for at least 8-10 hours with no caretakers (all the workers have gone home & no one stays overnight). Very likely your pet will be sleeping in it's own pee & poo till the next day.
No Communication
When you check-in your pet at a kennel/hospital, that will be the last time you'll see or hear from him/her. Days? Weeks? Owners just don't know how their pet is doing.

Other Pet Sitters
Retirees & Animal Lovers are not qualified to take on proper exericising of dogs/animals nor are they trained for emergencies. If an animal chokes, stung by bee, allergies flare up, the average person will not be able to recognized the problems. Why would you hire an inexperience sitter?

There are times we cannot accommodate additional pets so this information is for the local Walnut/City of Industry Pet Smart located at 21848 Valley Blvd, City of Industry. Rates are $39 overnight with tv. Strict check-out at 12pm. Pick-up/drop-off ONLY during business day time hours. Information as of July 2012.

DBar Dogs and Mindful Pet Sitting have a partner relationship for a long time. When ever we are full and needing help, we turn to Mindful Pet Sitting. They are located in Brea, the next city south of Diamond Bar. Mindful Pet Sitting specializes in home visits and only boards small animals (birds/hamsters/etc).

Heavenly Pet Resort - Upland, West Covina, Temple City
